Jeremiah 4:8-10

⁹ “And it shall come about on that day,” declares the Lord, “that the ^(C)heart of the king and the hearts of the leaders will fail; and the priests will tremble, and the ^(D)prophets will be astonished.”

¹⁰ Then I said, “Oh, Lord ^[a]God! Surely You have utterly ^(E)deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, ‘^(F)You will have peace’; yet a sword touches the ^[b]throat.”
